Design Rooms

What is design? No doubt you will find an answer of your own - either in the paintings and sculptures or in the imaginative details of our decor. Our hotel is in leafy surroundings overlooking the roofs of Saarbrücken, whilst only a short walk from the picturesque old town and bustling city centre.

As well as our functional business class rooms, what set us apart are the areas designed around particular themes. "La mer" will put you in mind of the seas, in the "Four seasons" ("Vier Jahreszeiten") everything draws inspiration from your favourite months and in the "Seventh heaven" ("7. Himmel") you will be sleeping under the starry skies.

The very first "Design Rooms" were created in 1993 by Waltraud and Michael Bumb, the hotel's owners. In the year 1999 the first complete floor with design rooms, the "Seventh heaven" were finished. Additional designed floors followed. The latest floor "Planet Ocean" was realized in 2007.
